Pilates

Want to be stronger, more flexible?

Pilates is a form of exercise that works on strengthening the body, with an emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility and also focuses on the mind-body connection. It is a safe, effective, low-impact, whole-body workout that is suitable for all fitness levels & exercise experience.

 

PRIVATE SESSIONS are customised for you, address specific problems, injuries, learn more about your body, posture...Can be combined with Scenar Therapy, pain and stress relief. https://scenar.nz/

​CLASS IN TAKAKA Saturdays and Mondays fortnightly at 4 pm at the Anglican church 42 Commercial street. Please, note that we don't offer Pilates classes in Motueka.

BEGINNER

Before attending a class in Takaka, if you are  beginner or if it has been a while since your last regular training, or if you have conditions that may require modifying exercises, please BOOK AN INTRO CLASS. Addresses the basic positions, and good for assessing movement and strength.

WHAT TO WEAR, WHAT TO BRING?

Please,

  • wear comfortable clothes without belt ( like leggings or a short), not too baggy to allow me to see your legs

  • For private sessions, mat and pillows are provided - For class, bring your own mat (thick mats are available for sell for $23)  - a small and flat pillow or a rolled towel if needed (if you have some neck issues) - a resistance band (to help you for stretching) if you have one - some water.

  • Do not use perfumes for the health of all clients.

Come 5 minutes earlier to relax on your mat.
